HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Tammy L. Gioia, of Hyde Park, died Tuesday, Nov. 8. She was 48.
She was born Sept. 19, 1968, in Carmel, to Roger A. and Wendy J. (VanCoughnett) Mayes. She was a local resident all of her life. She was a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and SUNY New Paltz, were she received her master's degree in education.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Gioia; sons, Bryce A. and Connor D. Gioia; father and mother, Roger and Wendy J. Mayes; sisters and their husbands, Laurie and Joseph Pelkofski and Sondra And Patrick Cullimore; and brother and his wife, Roger K. and Selina Mayes.
Calling hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the services at St. Peters Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
